Welcome to our art studio, where tradition and innovation converge to create timeless masterpieces in concrete, silicone, and bronze. Rooted in a legacy of artistic excellence, our journey spans generations, beginning with the illustrious Tippaji Rao, a master painter in the Mysore Maharaja’s court, renowned for his awe-inspiring Vishwarupa Darshana miniature painting. This artistic heritage was carried forward by Kashinath Kawatekar, a celebrated sculptor of stone and metal, recipient of prestigious accolades like the Jakanachari, Rajyotsava, and Shilpakala Academy Awards. Taught by his grandfather Parasappa, Kashinath mastered intricate carvings in silver, gold, and cement, crafting Hindu idols and temples of profound beauty.
Today, the studio is led by Sridhara Murthy K, who has elevated this legacy with monumental works across India, including the Murudeshwara Lord Shiva statue, Basavakalyana Lord Basaveshwara statues, and a bronze sculpture of Lord Basavanna in London. Guided by his guru, Narayana Rao Kawatekar , a patient and visionary mentor from Shivamogga and his father Kashinath Kawtekar. Sridhara Murthy continues to push the boundaries of artistry. Together, our family’s rich history and enduring passion for art transform raw materials into creations that inspire awe and reverence.
